Oakdale Ontario
Oakdale is a very small comunity a few miles South of Oil Springs. Hopefully I will have much more here soon.





I have attached a photo from my wife's family album. The women third from the left on the second row is her grandmother, Emily White nee Showers. She lived Oakdale and Petrolia all her life, and her dauther-in-law Ida White lived there until her death about five or six years ago.

Here is an excellent example of  a panoramic photo. This was sent to me a few years ago and is now displayed here for your enjoyment. I would like to get the rest of the names.


I do not have any of the other names. I have just started doing research on my wife's family, and have found  quite a bit of data from the Canada sites. I do have a couple other pictures, but the one that is a little different is attached. The marking on the back says " Church softball team". This had to be taken in about 1926. My mother-in-law Ethel White is in the lower Left.
