Knox Field Petrolia

           Knox Field is on 21 highway North of Petrolia on the East side. My only memories of this airfield were that during the ca.1960s airplanes took off from there and parachutists jumped out over the field. We could see this quite plainly from our place on Eureka street.
          There were always planes there and Jimmy Rowe flew his Harvard Trainer from Knox Field. The Harvard Trainer was a WW2 plane that was extremely loud.
